The main process of XPE production:

1. Weigh PE and various additives according to the granulation formula ratio → Flat double extrusion granulation →

2. PE is then weighed in proportion to the masterbatch according to the production formula → the mixer is stirred regularly → extrusion production →

3. Heating and foaming → Cooling and shaping → Cutting and rolling → Quality inspection → Packaging and warehousing.

Scope of product use and industry trends

XPE, also known as chemically crosslinked polyethylene foam material, has superior performance, high tensile strength, and fine foam pores compared to other similar materials. XPE is an ideal material for automotive and air conditioning insulation. In recent years, it has rapidly developed in the sports goods market, such as surfboards, moisture-proof mats, yoga mats, etc. It also has certain uses in construction and has been widely used in the automotive and packaging industries recently.

Due to the rapid development of China's economy, it has driven the rapid development of infrastructure such as central air conditioning, large and medium-sized cold storage, pipeline facilities, vehicle and ship manufacturing, civil construction, agriculture, forestry, and animal husbandry, resulting in a huge market for insulation materials. With the continuous improvement of national environmental protection requirements and the continuous improvement of relevant laws and regulations, the glass centrifugal cotton used for insulation materials in central air conditioning and pipeline facilities, as well as XPS and PU boards used for insulation materials in civil construction and cold storage, will gradually be replaced by XPE foam materials. Every year, China builds over 1000 large central air conditioning systems, hundreds of large cold storage facilities, millions of large and medium-sized vehicles, and millions of meters of water, oil, and gas pipelines. Now, the demand for XPE foam materials in Russia, Kazakhstan, India, the Middle East, and Africa is also rapidly increasing. According to customs statistics, the quantity of XPE foam materials exported from China to foreign countries in 2014 was nearly 1.28 million cubic meters, reaching 1.5 million cubic meters in 2015 and expected to exceed 1.8 million meters in 2016 ³， Showing a rapid upward trend.

Based on the above data analysis, the annual market demand for XPE foam materials at home and abroad is over 2.5 million m3, while there are less than 40 domestic manufacturers of XPE foam materials, with a total output of less than 800000 meters ³， Less than one-third of the market demand.
